Lecture: Heritage Lost: A Georgian-Era Barn In Lunenburg County 1815

Presenter:  Allen B. Robertson – Native of Hantsport, historian, author and built heritage advocate.

Details:  Pre-Confederation building plans for barns are particularly rare.  Italian immigrant Valentine Bernardi settled in Lunenburg and drew plans for his own building.  His career, the legal dispute that preserved the plans, and the role of barns in Nova Scotia’s architectural landscape will all be explored in this presentation.
