Heritage Trust of Nova Scotia is deeply concerned about the fate of the historic buildings which house the 12 Nova Scotia Museums that have been closed.

The Heritage Trust of Nova Scotia is calling on the City of Halifax to convene an emergency meeting of the Municipal Heritage Advisory Committee (HAC) to consider heritage applications for five historic buildings on Williams Street, Robie Street, and North Street.

On June 26, the Heritage Trust of Nova Scotia will present their annual Built Heritage Awards. These annual awards recognize outstanding heritage conservation projects from across the province, as well as Nova Scotians who have demonstrated themselves to be champions of built heritage conservation.

Heritage Trust of Nova Scotia wishes to express its deep concern about the imminent demolition of the Caretaker’s House at Holy Cross Cemetery, a municipally-registered heritage property, part of the South Park Street heritage streetscape, and within the bounds of the Schmidtville Heritage Conservation District.
