As part of the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic’s Tuesday Talks Series our Executive Director, Emma Lang, will explore how having older buildings and other types of built heritage in our communities provide a wide range of benefits to Nova Scotians. Learn some of the challenges facing the preservation of built heritage today, and what everyone can do to help protect these vital resources.

Emma Lang has been involved in heritage work in Atlantic Canada and the United States since 2000, previously working as a curator and interpretive developer. At HTNS, she develops resources and educational programs to facilitate the preservation and protection of built heritage, advocates for stronger protections for built heritage and engages with the public on the values and benefits of built heritage.
