Heritage Trust of Nova Scotia Honours 14 Sites for Exemplary Restoration or Adaptive Reuse Projects

On June 20, 2024 we were pleased to present awards to those responsible for the exemplary restoration or adaptive reuse of buildings across our province. The awardees received a certificate and a framed drawing of their building done specifically for the occasion by Naomi Kent, a local artist and heritage professional.

The following buildings were honoured:

Old Town Clock, Halifax—Institutional Award, 2019

Kentville Library, Kentville—Place of Worship Award, 2020

Eltuek Art Centre, Sydney—Institutional Award, 2020

Halifax City Hall, Halifax—Adaptive Reuse Award, 2020

Fairhaven, Riverport—Residential Award, 2020

Seely Hall, Port Medway—Commercial Award, 2021

Ironworks Distillery, Lunenburg—Adaptive Reuse Award, 2021

Dominion House, Truro—Residential Award, 2021

Lunenburg Academy, Lunenburg—Institutional Award, 2021

The Narrows Public House, Halifax—Adaptive Reuse Award, 2022

Stonehouse, Pictou—Commercial Award, 2022
